Year 9s School Trip
Last friday we had a great day in San Martín de Valdeiglesias, visiting a vineyard and a castle. It was a wonderful day out with lots of activities and workshops where you have learnt issues related with different issues Mercedes and I have been explaining to you in the past (Geography, History and Sociales). Alejandro, our tour guide at the vineyard and winery, did explain very well the evolution of people such as Phoenicians, Iberians and Romans, as we did in History and Sociales in previous years. He gave us incredible information about the legacy of these cultures, in this area of the Comunidad de Madrid and the relationship with wine production. Over all I think the activity we enjoyed quite a lot was watching all the barrels and tasting "mosto" at the winery and enjoying the view and the stunning building when we visited the castle. Here you have some pictures of our day out.
